Madhusthali Institute of Teacher Training has an automated academic library that supports in research, consultancy and resource linkage for students and faculty of the institution. It house current, reliable and relevant information resources spread through all the disciplines which serve to assuage the information requirements of students and faculty. The library also provides a quiet study space for students on campus. Library is well –equipped with all the facilities for students and faculty members and provides them sufficient teaching learning material. The library has ample books to refer for the core and elective papers as well as for professional growth. The library has adjoining reading space for the users with proper lighting and cooling facilities.

Library Rules and Regulation

  • Only registered members are allowed to use the library.
  • Users must have the Library card with them whenever they use the Library and library card is not transferable. 
  • Silence must be maintained inside the library. 
  • Use of cell phone is strictly prohibited inside the library premises.
  • Readers are not allowed to bring personal books, printed materials and personal belongings like bags, umbrellas, etc. inside the library. 
  • Reference books are strictly confined to library use only.
  • Duration of Book loan for the students is 02 (Two) books for 15 (Fifteen) days and for teachers 3 (Three) books for 21 (Twenty One) days. In addition one periodical (Back volume) and one CD/DVD can be issued for a period of 3 (three) days. 
  • Library can recall any issued book even before the due date if warranted.
  • For damage of document: (A) Minor damage: 10% of the cost of the documents has to be paid. (B) Major damage: 25% of the cost of documents has to be paid and for (C) Book lost/ Severe damage (not readable condition): twice of the print rate of the book/document will be charged/the charge is subjected to library authority.
  • Documents should be thoroughly checked before leaving the counter. No complaint would be entertained afterwards. 
  • If library card is lost: Rs 50/- (Fifty) has to pay for procuring a duplicate card.
  • Photocopying service is available in a specified time of working day with the charge of Rs 2.00 per copy. 
  • Library after having the approval of the Library Committee/Principal may change or modify any of the library rules
